In a nut shell: friendly staff, wonderful patio but a bit noisy at rush hour, good coffee, delicious looking display of chocolates and sweets (I'm sure they tasted good too, but they did not seem fit for a Type 1 diabetic!), moderate prices (large coffee $2.15) so overall I would highly recommend!

Café Delice is easy to miss because it is set back a bit from the sidewalk, sandwiched between condos and a spa, and slightly obscured by its own patio seating. Inside the shop is very small too - just a strip of booth seating and maybe one or two tables, so not a good place for kids or giant strollers which is okay because it seems to mostly serve the surrounding office workers (they close at 4:30pm and are not open on weekends).

The shop is full of delicious looking chocolates and desserts - too bad I'm diabetic.  There are rows of coffee blends and chalk boards full of fancy drinks so I feel a bit of apprehension when asking for "just regular coffee." No worries though - the staff are super friendly and easy going! I took a seat on the patio and opened my book for a bit of reading before work. Being at the corner of Kent Street and Laurier meant that the traffic was kind of loud, so if you're looking for a quiet place to sit this may not be the best option. The view was nice though (you can see Saint Patrick's Basilica just off to the side). There seemed to be lots of people getting coffees to go and a few small groups of office people sitting at the tables and discussing work. I loved the atmosphere though, like you've discovered a real local gem!

The coffee tasted good and was fresh, and I liked that they had Splenda and Stevia available. I will definitely be back when I want to do some people watching, but will probably go elsewhere if I want to sit and read or catch up on work since I prefer a quieter space for that, but that's just my preference.

A final thought: this is the sort of coffee shop most people will pass by countless times and think "oh yeah, I've been meaning to stop in there" and I highly recommend you do!

Not only the coffee and chocolate, I tried the London fog tea was also great !
Very close to my work place. Will try more here soon!

As others have said, very friendly staff. They used to have a really good selection of sandwiches, but now they are a series of pretty much the same sandwich, just swapping the type of cold cut. The breakfast sandwich is good, although my personal preference is not for an omelet-style egg, that is certainly more efficient for the business. Not much in the way of vegetarian options, other than grilled cheese. Good coffee.

I must have walked by Cafe Delice a hundred times before deciding to check it out.

It's a cute little spot with friendly staff and a relaxed, almost European like atmosphere.  In addition to coffee, tea and expresso drinks they serve  chocolates and truffles, a few baked goods and paninni sandwiches.  My Americano was fantastic - arguably the best I've had in the city.

I'll definitely be back for the Americano and to sample their baked goods and chocolates.  I believe this place caters to the work week crowd.  I didn't see their hours posted but I think they are closed on weekends.

great staff. simple but very good breakfast and lunch offerings. authentic Belgian chocolates and other tasty items.

wonderful coffee and tea selections. limited seating but nice patio in warmer months.

    highly recommended.
